A brow lift, or forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that restores a more youthful, refreshed look to the area above your eyes.
The procedure corrects drooping brows and improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make a person appear angry or tired. A repositioned brow will also remove the hooding of the lateral brow, which you really cannot see head-on in a mirror. This hooding is seen by others when they see you from the side. Removal of this hooding markedly rejuvenates the face.
The surgery is performed through multiple limited incisions within the hairline, utilizing a viewing instrument called an endoscope or conventionally via an incision across the scalp hidden just behind the hairline. It is done with sedation or a general anesthetic. It is commonly done with a facelift to restore balance to the entire face.
