Arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. With age, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. This is particularly true if there is a large weight loss. These “batwings” are excised with longitudinal incisions along the inner arm. Often liposuction is used during the procedure to remove excess fat. Patients have to decide if the contour improvement is worth the lengthy scar along the inner arm.
